June Rose Poliseno, age 88, died Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township.
Born May 30, 1931 in Orange NJ, June was the daughter of the late Wilburn and Fannie (Lanfrank) Fertig.
While working various jobs throughout her life, June and her late husband, Carlo, raised their four children in the New Providence NJ area.
June loved to cook and served many wonderful meals for her family and friends, often sharing her recipes that sometimes were missing an ingredient that made it a challenge to duplicate!
She loved watching Turner Classic Movies and spending time at the beach, especially Long Beach Island NJ.
An only child, June was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Carlo Poliseno. She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Carl and Marie Poliseno of Absorakee MT, Patricia Grabert and Marco Correia, of Greenbrook NJ, Debra and Greg Joseph of Flemington NJ, and David and Karen Poliseno of Lakewood CO, as well as her granddaughter and husband, Carla and Ilya Kreymer, her grandsons, David Grabert, Jr., and Kyle Joseph and her two great-grandsons, Benjamin and Cameron.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at St. Bartholomew the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2032 Westfield Ave., Scotch Plains, NJ 07076. Interment will be private. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ.
