Karen Lynn Compton

Karen Lynn Compton, age 75 years, of Raritan Township, NJ passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at her home. Born in Flemington, NJ on March 13, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Henry A. and Dorothy (Roy) Lubsen. She had resided in the Flemington area most of her life. After graduating with her teaching degree, she was a 2nd Grade Teacher at the Lester D. Wilson Elementary School in the Alexandria Township School District. She taught for thirty-three years prior to her retirement. Karen loved to garden and loved going to the beach. This included many weekend trips with her husband in their camper to Island Beach State Park, NJ. She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” A. Compton; her three brothers, Scott Lubsen, Hal Lubsen, and Geoffrey Lubsen; as well as her beloved canine companion, Honey, her five-year-old chihuahua-terrier mix.
