Kari Ann Gerhardt Michno

Kari Ann Gerhardt Michno, age 40 years, of Franklin Township, NJ, died Thursday, March 16, 2017. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, July 6, 1976, she had formerly resided in Mountainside, NJ until moving to Hillsborough, NJ where she graduated from Hillsborough High School. Kari was such a joyful person who had a big smile & an even bigger heart. She married the love of her life, Mark, who was her high school sweetheart. Together Mark & Kari created a beautiful loving home for themselves & their pets Indy & Mallomar. Kari was passionate about many things. She loved to listen to music, especially the Grateful Dead. She loved baking & always volunteered to “bring the cupcakes” which were decorated festively. She enjoyed photography, collecting antiques, going to the beach & a good trip in the Jeep. She loved animals & enjoyed pet sitting and cared for the animals as if they were her own. She will be missed terribly by her family. She is survived by her husband of three years, Mark Michno and extended family that loved her dearly; father and mother-in-law, John and Shirley Michno; sisters- in-law and brothers-in-law, Suzanne & Kevin, Jill & Kevin, Jennifer and Brian and thee nieces and three nephews. She is predeceased by her father Eric Herman Gerhardt. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. John Barbella will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 10:00 AM in St. Ann's Church, Hampton, NJ. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 6:00-9:00 PM at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private.
