Karla C. Murphy

Karla C. Murphy, age 52 years, of Scotch Plains, NJ, died on June 17, 2007, in Overlook Hospital, Summit, NJ.

Born in Auburn, WA, August 11, 1954, she was the daughter of Gus and Alice Hovey Carlson of Bothell, WA.

She was a Customer Service Representative with Shop-Rite, Stirling, NJ.

Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her husband, James W. Murphy; a daughter, Mackenzie Earp of Carteret, NJ; a son, James W. Murphy, Jr. of Scotch Plains, NJ; a granddaughter, Abigail Earp of Carteret, NJ; three sisters, Carolyn Davis of West Chester, PA, Vickie Nachtreib of Seattle, WA, and Denise Kuykendahl of San Diego, CA, and two brothers, George Carlson, and Gus Carlson, both of Seattle, WA.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday at 11 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
