Katherine Wagner

Katherine Wagner, age 97 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at her home.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, November 28, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Barbara Maksomowycz Klapko. She had resided in Raritan Township since 1986, having formerly resided in Martinsville, NJ.

Katherine was a former secretary in the Fur District in New York City, worked for the Somerset Trust Company for many years, and was the former Proprietor of Wagner’s Market, Martinsville, NJ.

She was a Communicant of St. Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ. She was a member of the St. Magdalen Choir and the Diocese of Metuchen Festival Choir.

Her husband, Marcel W. Wagner, died in 2015. Surviving are her children, Stephanie Kubisch of Hillsborough, NJ, Maria Wagner of Glassboro, NJ, Marcel Wagner, Jr. of Quincy, IL, and Gregory Wagner of Flemington, NJ; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 10:30 AM in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Entombment will follow in St. Magdalen Mausoleum. Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 22, 2019 from 5-8 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
