Kathleen Mary Sherid Casey

Kathleen Mary Sheridan Casey, age 49 years, of Bethlehem Township, NJ, died on Saturday, August 16, 2008 in Morristown, NJ as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Born in Rockville Centre, NY, August 15, 1959, daughter of Gail Haughey Sheridan of Danbury, CT and the late William J. Sheridan, she had resided in Bethlehem Township for the past seventeen years, having previously lived in Three Bridges, NJ, Kings Park, NY and Setauket, NY.

A graduate of Fairfield University, Mrs. Casey went on to receive her Nursing Degree from Adelphi University. She was currently a loved and respected Registered Nurse at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ and had previously worked at St. Charles Hospital, Port Jefferson, NY.

Mrs. Casey was dedicated to multiple causes including the Karama Connection, which supported the St. Lucia Nursing Home and Orphanage in Tanzania. Kathy, her husband Andy and their daughter, Jillian, had traveled there several times in the past to assist them with their missions. Additionally, she had completed both the New York City and Philadelphia marathons.

She, along with her husband Andy, loved their family, their friends and their community very much.

Her husband, Andrew Casey, died on Saturday, August 16, 2008 as a result of injuries sustained in the same accident. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Michael Sheridan as well as her grandfather, Robert Haughey and her grandmother, Elizabeth Sheridan.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, are three children, Brendan Michael Casey of Denver, CO, Jillian Sheridan Casey, a Senior at UNC Chapel Hill and Trevor Andrew Casey of Bethlehem Township, NJ; her grandmother, Margaret Haughey of Essex, CT; her sister and her fiancée, Eileen Folkl and Todd Giannantonio of Blooming Grove, NY; three brothers, Robert Sheridan of Danbury, CT, Joseph Sheridan of Bethel, CT and Mark Sheridan of Danbury, CT; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Flemington Presbyterian Church, 10 East Main Street, Flemington, NJ, preceded by Visitation from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Church. Committal Services will follow at Ewing Crematory, Ewing Township, NJ. Calling hours will be Thursday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
