Kathryn K. Buck, age 95 years, of Flemington, NJ, died on Monday, August 16, 2004 at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in the Ringoes section of East Amwell Township, NJ, June 17, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Gertrude Strimple Kitchin. She was a lifelong resident of Hunterdon County.
She was a retired teacher, having taught in Moore's School,Delaware Township, NJ, Warsaw School, Kingwood Township, NJ, and High Valley School,Mt. Airy, NJ. She worked for the Flemington Auction Market, and then General Motors during World War II. She later worked at Carvers Auto Parts, Flemington, NJ for many years.
She was a graduate of Flemington High School, Flemington, NJ, and the Trenton Normal School, Trenton, NJ. She was a member of the Amwell Church of the Brethren, Sand Brook, NJ.
Her husband, Percy Buck, died in 1955. She is survived by two sisters, Eleanor Kitchin Anderson, of Safety Harbor, FL, and Gladys Anderson, of Ringoes, NJ.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Ringoes, NJ. Calling hours will be from 1-2 PM Thursday in the funeral home.
