On Saturday, May 1st, 2021, Kelly Zullo, loving wife, passed away in her sleep at the age of 58, from an unknown cause.
Kelly was born on December 17th, 1962, to Larry (Lawrence) and Evelyn (Reilly) Sichler. Born in Mineola, Long Island, she was the apple of her dad’s eye. She lived most of her life in Flemington, New Jersey, where she met and fell in love with her husband, Bob Zullo. She and Bob were wed on May 19, 1990.
She graduated from Hunterdon Central High School in 1981 and had some college studies at Mercer County Community College.
Kelly was an early pioneer in the world of selling products on eBay before eBay was a household name. She worked for some years as a manager for Forbes Newspapers, repeatedly winning awards for her creativity, and her innovation in increasing revenue through advertising. Kelly worked at the Hunterdon County Democrat too. She was also the founder and owner of Home Improvement Resource Services.
She was well known for her wicked sense of humor and infectious laugh—if you heard it, you could not help but laugh with her. Kelly could keep you laughing so hard that your stomach muscles would hurt—and she would never let up. It was the stuff of family legend. She loved dining out and even as a very young child showed a discriminating palate, ordering lobster at the age of 6. Kelly was exceedingly kind and big-hearted, even to her own detriment when trying to care or look out for others. She loved to go to movies and had a penchant for alternative rock music.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Bob, and her sister Kimberly (Hitchens) and Kimberly’s husband Bob (yes, also!) Hitchens, as well as cousins Kenny, Richie, Donald and particularly Tony, Tortoso. She is also survived by her cat, Oz.
She was preceded in death by her mother Evelyn, father Lawrence, and younger brother Larry, as well as devoted and much-loved feline companions Gozer, Zero, Suki and Zoey, all of whom passed over the Rainbow Bridge before her. She’ll be glad to see them all again.
Kelly’s arrangements are private. No public wake or funeral service is planned.
Cremation and funeral services are under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ.
