Kenneth J. Grande, age 93 years, of Buckingham Township, PA., died Saturday, May 18, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, January 5, 1931, son of the late Frank E. Grande and Anne Spitzfaden Grande, he had formerly resided in Flemington, NJ for 42 years, prior to his move to Buckingham Township, PA.
Ken was an oil technician for thirty-eight years with Mobil Oil Corporation, first in Brooklyn, NY then in Pennington, NJ.
Proud of his military service, he was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War serving five years in active service, first on a submarine and later on two destroyers, the USS Soley and the USS Barton. While on the destroyers, he was an Engineman, third class.
Ken was a former active parishioner at St. Magdalen Church in Flemington NJ and was also a member of Flemington American Legion Post #159.
Ken was pre-deceased by his wife, Regina McGhee Grande, in 1999 and his sister, Joan Grande, in 2012.
Surviving are four children, Regina Nicaretta of Flemington, NJ, Kenneth F. Grande, of Bayville, NJ, Mary Jane Grande of New Hope, PA and Ann Marie Grande of Dexter, Maine. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 24, 2024 in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Thursday evening, May 23, 2024 from 5:00PM-7:00 PM at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
Interment with Naval Military Honors will be at 11:30 am on Saturday, May 25, 2024 in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940. If you are planning on attending the burial services, please arrive by 11:15 at the cemetery and pull into the ‘Funeral Processions” line to the right after entering the cemetery.
