Kenneth Winberry passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2010. He was 86.
Born in Hoboken, New Jersey in 1924, he was the son of John Winberry and Eleanor Dilger.
He enlisted in the United States Navy and served as an Anti-Aircraft Gunner during WWII from 1942-1945. HonorablY discharged, he was awarded the following medals: European/North African/Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Theater Campaign Medal, American Theater Campaign Medal, 3 Campaign Stars, Navy Good Conduct Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. He was a member of the Naval Armed Guard.
He was employed by Thomas J. Lipton for 43 years. He received 9 Service Awards from Liptons and was a member of their Quarter Century Club.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marie, 3 sons and 2 grandsons. He was predeceased by his sister Doris Pompliano in 2009.
