Kristin C. Du Fosse

Kristin C. du Fosse, age 85, died Thursday, August 27, 2015, at her home in East Amwell Township, NJ. Born May 25, 1930 in New York City, daughter of the late Paul and Alice (Brauninger) Gebel, she lived on the same farm in East Amwell Township since 1968. Kristin received her nursing degree from Brooklyn Hospital School of Nursing and then a Bachelor’s Degree from the former Trenton State College. She worked as a nurse for Abington Hospital (PA) and later with Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington. Kristin was the School Nurse for both East Amwell and West Amwell elementary schools, as well as a private duty nurse. Her love and generous spirit towards both people and animals was evident throughout her life. She volunteered with Meals-On-Wheels for many years and made countless house calls to those in need. She loved and respected animals and rescued many, including horses and dogs. In addition to her parents, Kristin was predeceased by her husband, John du Fosse in 1999 and her brother, Peter. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jacques and Lorinda Marchand of Quakertown, PA, and her three nieces, Linda Gebel, Jenny Gorman, and Wendy Castrovinci, all of Durham, NC.
