Larry Apgar

Larry Apgar, age 73 years, of East Amwell Township, NJ, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, September 20, 2012, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Trenton, NJ, January 11, 1939, he had resided in Hunterdon County all his life. He was employed by Flemington Auction Market, then by Flemington Agway, and retired from Rich-Hil Transportation, Flemington, in 2005 after thirty-four years there.

Larry was a member of the Amwell Church of the Brethren of Delaware Township,NJ, and was a trustee of the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Reaville,NJ.

A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Susan Sutphin Apgar; a daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Gary Mozingo of Flemington,NJ; a son, Daniel Apgar of Stockton,NJ; a brother, Paul Grossman of Uhlerstown, Pa.; a half-sister, Dolores O'Shea of Cape May,NJ; two grandchildren, Ryan Apgar and Madison Apgar; and two step-grandchildren, Joseph Mozingo and Laryssa Mozingo.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at 10:30AM in the Amwell Church of the Brethren, Sandbrook-Headquarters Road, Delaware Township, NJ, followed by interment in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Reaville, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington,NJ. Calling hours will be Monday 6:00-8:00PM at the funeral home.
