Lawrence A. Tutela, Sr.

Lawrence A. Tutela, Sr., age 70 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Friday, July 22, 2005 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Newark, NJ, September 30, 1934, son of the late Charles and Teresa Romeo Tutela, he had resided in Raritan Township for the past thirty-six years, having previously resided in Newark, NJ.

A former member of the Army National Guard, Mr. Tutela retired in 1991 as a Corrections Officer at the Hunterdon County Jail, Flemington, NJ.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.

Surviving are his wife of fourty-seven years, Barbara J. Tutela of Raritan Township, NJ; two daughters, Karen Hill of Readington Township, NJ and Lauren Bolen of Marlton, NJ; two sons, Charles Tutela of Pt. Pleasant, PA and Lawrence Tutela, Jr. of Whitehouse Station, NJ; a sister, Rose Loyo of Whitehouse Station, NJ; and 9 grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Sunday from 7-9 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
