Lawrence W. Mcgivney

Lawrence “Larry” W. McGivney, age 59 years, passed away on August 14, 2019.

Born in Flemington, NJ, October 31, 1959, he was the son of Doris Reddy McGivney of Flemington, NJ and the late Robert William McGivney.

Larry was a graduate of Hunterdon Central High School and the United States Merchant Marine Academy. He proudly served his country as a Commander with the United States Navy. Larry then worked as a Harbor Captain with the City of New York.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife Paulette; a daughter, Christine McGivney; a son, Daniel McGivney; his siblings, Michael McGivney of Jersey City, NJ, Beth McGivney of Lopatcong, NJ, and Timothy McGivney of Manahawkin, NJ; and his grandson, Conner McGivney.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 3 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held prior to the service on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 2-3 PM in the funeral home. Interment, with full military honors, was in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY under the direction of Alexander Rothwell Funeral Home.
