Lawrence William Adams

Lawrence William Adams, age 62 years, of Flemington, NJ, entered into eternal rest after a long brave fight with terminal illness on Friday, February 6, 2009 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Easton, PA, June 4, 1946, he was the son of Rose Madeline Rafale Adams of Raritan Township, NJ and the late Lawrence G. Adams.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He was a resident of Flemington Borough, NJ for thirty years, and had formerly resided in Three Bridges, NJ, and Quakertown, NJ.

He was a 1964 graduate of North Hunterdon Regional High School, Clinton Township, NJ.

He was employed by Tenneco Corporation, Raritan Township, NJ for many years and most recently retired from the Flemington Department Store after twenty-two years.

He cherished his family and spending time with his loving wife, Debbie Baker Adams, and their dogs. He was an avid New York Jets fan and also enjoyed gardening, fishing, and boating.

In addition to his mother and his wife, he was the proud father of a son, Jason Lawrence Adams and his wife April Marie, of Flemington, NJ. Jason is currently serving his country in Iraq; a son, Jeffrey Scott Adams of Easton, MD, a daughter, Lisa Danielle Lippincott and fiance Ryan Crane of Clinton, NJ, and a son, Brian John Lippincott; his four adored grandchildren, Joshua Adams, Gracie Adams, Payton Adams, and Jeffrey Crane; a sister, Helen Taylor, of Alpha, NJ; a sister-in-law, Patricia Lynn Ericson and her husband Eric of East Amwell Township, NJ; his mother-in-law, Edith Baker, of Rosemont, NJ; a niece, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 8 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the funeral home.
