Lee Deily, age 69 years, of Flemington, NJ, died on Thursday, August 23, 2007 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ with his family at his side.

Born in Allentown, PA, he resided in Flemington for much of his adult life.

Lee was a graduate of Dunnellen High School. He was in the United States Army from 1956-1964. He also attended Penn State University Ext. for drafting and design. He worked as a draftsman for many years for Egan Machinery Co. Davis Standard, Somerville, NJ. He left there in 1988 and worked in Cape Coral, FL for Sun Belt Lawn Service with his brother Ted before returning back to New Jersey in 1994.

Lee was an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed auto racing, especially the dirt track racing at the former Flemington Fairgrounds. He also enjoyed rebuilding cars and spent time restoring his '48 Ford. More recently he and his wife Rose enjoyed taking his '32 Ford Roadster to local car shows. He was a member of the National Street Rod Association.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Rose Lewis; his three children, Lee R. Deily of Fort Myers, FL, Karin Stover of Ringoes, NJ and David Deily of Bangor, PA; his three step children, Rick Dextraze of Bradingten, FL, Tim Dextraze of Bethlehem Township, NJ and Paul Lewis of Three Bridges, NJ; two grandchildren; six step grandchildren; two brothers, Don Deily of Lexington, MA and Ted Deily of Cape Coral, FL; a sister, Jill Allen-Deily of Ocala, FL; and the mother of his three children, Donna Deily-Whalen of Cape Coral, FL.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Sechler-Deily and his father, Richard L. Deily.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Please visit www.holcombefisher.com for further information or to send condolences. A private Graveside Service will held at Lake View Cemetery, Saylorsburg, PA at a later date.
