Lena Crickenberger, age 64 years, of Alexandria Township, NJ, died on Monday, October 20, 2008 at her residence.
Born in Sweden, November 10, 1943 to the late Ellen Nilsson and Carl Lindberg, she had lived in Alexandria Township since 1998, having previously lived in Great Meadows, Upper Montclair and Cedar Grove, NJ.
A Registered Nurse in both Sweden and the United States, Mrs. Crickenberger also received an Associates Degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology, NYC, NY. She was formerly a pattern maker for the GAP and Sears.
A member of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, Clinton Township, NJ, she was also a member of the Swedish Women's Education Association.
Her husband, Larry Dean Crickenberger, died in 2003.
Surviving are two sons, Carl Crickenberger of Alexandria Township, NJ and David Crickenberger of Succasunna, NJ; two daughters, Anna Ream of Seattle, WA and Inger Montecinos of Alexandria, VA; three sisters, Nina Svensson, Mona Astvik and Lola Svensson, all in Sweden; and three grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, 9 Red School Road, Lebanon, NJ 08833 under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery, Quakertown, NJ. Calling hours will be Friday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
