Lenore "Dolly" Roe

Lenore Ann "Dolly" Roe, age 83 years, of Readington Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Readington Township, NJ on the family farm in Higginsville, September 5, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Isabella Valowitz Brindley.

Lenore was a ceramics teacher, passionate gardener, and dog breeder. She was the founder of the Hunterdon County Collie Club, and a league bowler at West Hunterdon Lanes.

Her husband, Richard Roe, died in 2012. Surviving are her sons, Greg Roe, of Forked River, NJ, and Bob Tanga of Atlanta, GA; her three daughters, Vicki Boardman of Flemington, NJ, Laura Roe of Flemington, NJ, and Christine Leyfert of Colfax, NC; her sisters, Isabelle Goldt of Readington Township, NJ, and Ruth Doster of Ringoes, NJ; and her grandchildren: James Roe, Megan Roe, Carlye Beyer, Sam Boardman, Bobby Tanga, Christie Tanga, and Vivian Tanga.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 11 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in St. Magdalen Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2017 from 4-7 PM in the funeral home.
