Lester L. Suydam, Jr.

Lester L. Suydam, Jr. age 72 years, of Franklin Township, NJ, died Friday, October 25, 2013, at his home.

Born in Glen Gardner, NJ, March 31, 1941, son of the late Lester L. Suydam, Sr. and Elizabeth Schrimpe Suydam, he had resided in Hunterdon County all his life.

Les was a mechanic with Johanna Foods, Flemington, NJ, for forty-one years and also served in the US Navy 1959-1963 aboard the aircraft carrier, USS Constellation. He was a graduate of North Hunterdon Regional High School, Clinton Township, NJ.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Patricia Gary Suydam; a son, Scott Suydam of Cedar Grove NJ; a daughter, Nora Ecker of Marlton, NJ; a sister, Wendy Suydam of Belleville, NJ; a brother, Richard Suydam of San Francisco, CA; and four grandchildren, Ryan, Leigh-Anne and Taylor Ecker and Cory Suydam.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at 11:00 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ followed by interment in Locust Grove Cemetery, Quakertown, NJ. Calling hours will be Monday 7:00-9:00 PM.
