Lilah G. Peters

Lilah Goehing Peters, age 80, died Friday, May 29, 2020 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township NJ.

Born August 21, 1939 in Flemington, NJ, Lilah was the daughter of the late Bertram and Lilah (Goehing) Sanford. She lived in Hunterdon County NJ all of her life and graduated from Hunterdon Central Regional High School in the Class of 1957.

Lilah worked for many years at Farmers Insurance Company of America in Flemington NJ.

In addition to her parents, Lilah was predeceased by her husband of fifty-one years, Walter L. Peters, in 2010. Lilah was also pre-deceased by her son-in-law, Timothy Apessos and her brother-in-law, William Wolfe. She is survived by her son, Brian Peters of Stockton, NJ and her daughter, Tammie Apessos of Mechanicsville; MD; three grandchildren, Jessica Apessos, Zachary Peters and Adria Peters, as well as her sister, Joan Wolfe.

Graveside services and interment in Three Bridges Cemetery will be announced at a later date under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ 08822.
