Lilian Davies Harris, age 93 years, of North Plainfield, NJ, died peacefully on Sunday, January 11, 2015, at her home.
Born in Abergele, North Wales, January 28, 1921, Lilian was the daughter of the late John and Martha Williams Davies.
She was a member of the British Artillery Air Defense during World War II. It was at that time that she met her husband, Charles Edward Harris, and they were married March 10, 1945. A homemaker, Lilian was a member of the British War Brides Association for many years.
Lilian enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by husband, Charles in 2010, and her six siblings.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Vivian Carol and Dennis Adams of Manchester, CT; a son and daughter-in-law, William John (Jack) and Helyn Harris of Kingwood Township, NJ; five grandchildren: Stacey Adams, Stephanie Nardoza, April Adams-Mejia, Timothy Harris and Jonathan Harris; and eight great-grandchildren, Eden, Audrey, Owen, Orion, Peyton, Orlan, Liam, and Madison.
Funeral Services will be held at Noon on Thursday, January 15, 2015 in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 10:30 to Noon in the funeral home.
