Lillian S. Kanach, age 82 years, of East Amwell Township, NJ, died on June 27, 2003 at her home. Born in Bound Brook, NJ on November 26, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Katherine Slahetka. She was the Bookkeeper for the Kanach Farm in Hillsborough, NJ. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Kanach, who died in 2002. Interment in Somerset Hills Memorial Park & Chapel Mausoleum, 95 Mt Airy Rd, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920.
Lillian S. Kanach, 82 of East Amwell Township, died Friday, June 27, 2003, at home. She was born in Bound Brook Nov. 26, 1920, daughter of the late Henry and Katherine Kaira Slahetka. She lived in Hillsborough Township before moving to East Amwell Township in 1966.
She was a secretary at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. for a number of years, including during World War II.
She was also a bookkeeper for their Hillsborough Township farm that she and her late husband, Thomas G. Kanach, operated for many years.
Her husband died in 2002 and a grandchild, Kristofer Kanach, died in 1999.
Surviving are two sons, William Kanach and John Kanach, both of Hillsborough Township; a daughter Susan Thomas of Ringoes and four grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were by Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home in Flemington.
