Lillian Snyder, age 91 years, of Delaware Township, NJ, died Monday, January 6, 2014, at her home.
She was born in Flemington, NJ, September 20, 1922, daughter of the late Adolph and Elizabeth Pauss Krebs, and was a lifelong Hunterdon County resident.
A 1941 graduate of Flemington High School, she was a secretary with the Hunterdon County Extension Service until retiring.
Lillian was a member of the Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church, Ringoes, NJ, and was always active in the church's activities. She was an avid gardener and also enjoyed traveling.
Her husband, Edward Snyder, Jr., died in 1981; a daughter, Roberta Snyder, died in 1973 and she was pre-deceased by two brothers, William Krebs and Adolph Krebs.
Surviving are a son, Edward Snyder III, of Pennington, NJ; three grandchildren, Margaret M. Miller, Robert E. Snyder and Julia A. Snyder; one sister, Matilda Krebs, and one brother, Rudolph Krebs, both of Pittstown, NJ.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 9, 2014, at 11:00AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private. Calling hours will be Wednesday 7:00-9:00PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church, PO Box 560, Ringoes, NJ 08551.
