Linda P. Yenzer

Linda P. Yenzer, age 65 years, of Readington Township, NJ died Saturday, March 20, 2004 at her residence.

Born in New Jersey, May 4, 1938, daughter of the late A. Walter and Mary Elizabeth Wiswall Phillpott, she had formerly resided in Budd Lake, NJ before moving to Readington Township, NJ fifteen years ago.

For fifteen years, she was Director of Transportation for Hunterdon Central Regional High School, Flemington, NJ, retiring in 2003. During her tenure she won 1st place in National Fleet safety, was nominated for Best Fleet in New Jersey by the School Bus Fleet and designed, developed and produced car seat, evacuation and mirror videos for State and Nation-wide distribution.

She was formerly employed by the N.J. Department of Education, Trenton, NJ, serving as a safety specialist. Additionally, she was a former President of the State Transportation Supervisors of New Jersey and a Chair of the State Supervisor Conference Committee.

Surviving are a daughter, Susan L. Yenzer of Austin, TX; a son, Jonathan R. Yenzer of San Diego, CA; and two grandchildren, James Weeks and Catherine Weeks, both of Austin, TX. Another son, James Robert Yenzer, died in 1983.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ (please call or visit www.holcombefisher.com for further information). Interment will be private. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
