Lloyd Howard Wismer, age 88 years, of Quakertown, NJ, died on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Trenton, NJ, November 8, 1930, he was the son of the late Rev. Wilson G. and Mildred Arietta Ray Wismer. He had formerly resided in Ewing, NJ.
The former owner of Wismer Electric, Lloyd then became a teacher at Mercer County Vocational Technical School, and later at Hunterdon County Polytech.
A United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Wismer was a member of the Quakertown United Methodist Church, Rural Awareness, and the Electrical League. Lloyd was an artist (painting) and was an active member of the Quakertown community helping anyone he could.
Surviving are his wife of sixty-six years, Dorothy Valentine Wismer; a son, Mark S. Wismer of Hamilton, VA; a daughter, Nancy Hamilton, of Dorchester, NJ; two granddaughters, Carla and Lydia; and three great-granddaughters: Belagh, Mila, and Kora.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11 AM in the Quakertown United Methodist Church, Quakertown, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment with military honors will be private in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
