Lloyd J. Ward

Lloyd J. Ward, age 71 years, of Kingwood Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, June 16, 2010, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Yonkers, NY, July 13, 1938, he was the son of the late Arthur and Frances Messler Ward. He had previously resided in Raritan Township, NJ.

He formerly owned and operated an auto body shop in Kingwood Township, and was formerly employed by Tredegar Corporation and Kuhl Corporation, Raritan Township, NJ.

Since retiring, he had worked part time for the Delaware Township Road Department.

He was a 1956 graduate of Flemington High School, and a member of Flemington Elks Lodge #1928.

Surviving are his wife of fifty years, Erika Kapfhammer Ward; two sons, John J. Ward of Holland Township, NJ, and Lloyd (Bud) Ward, Jr., of Bethlehem, PA; and five grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements and interment will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
