Lois Ann Frank, age 87 years, of Hillsborough, NJ, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Bridgeway Care and Rehabilitation Center, Hillsborough, NJ.
Born in Newark, NJ, January 24, 1937, and raised in Westfield, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Genevieve (Malcolm) Umstead. She had formerly resided in Plainfield, NJ, Hillsborough, NJ, Stewartsville, NJ, and West Palm Beach, FL. She also had a summer home on Lake Quinn in South Canaan, PA, and in recent years, spent winters in Port Charlotte, FL. Lois enjoyed entertaining and cooking and baking for her family and friends.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Clover Hill Reformed Church, where she served on the Consistory as an Elder, the Hillsborough Woman’s Club, and the Warren County Garden Club. She worked at the Hunterdon Medical Center in the Physical Therapy Department. She spent most of her time traveling, knitting, reading, and beating everyone who would play her in Rummikub and Canasta. She made sure she was there at the bus stop for every single grandchild’s first day of school.
She was married for 34 years to her husband, Harold Frank, who died in 1991.
Surviving are her four children: Russell Frank and his wife Amy of Neshanic Station, NJ, Raydene Truscott and her husband Edward of Flemington, NJ, Raymond Frank and his wife Heidi of Flemington, NJ, Janis Frank and her fiancé PJ Sweeney of Hillsborough, NJ. She is also survived by her sister, Judith Dombroski, and her husband, Robert, of Wellington, FL. She was predeceased by her brother, Darryl Umstead. She had nine grandchildren: Loree Truscott, Jennifer Frank, Cheryl Pavlick, Stephanie Palmaro, Elizabeth Smith, Katherine Moser, Jason Zamorski, Jon Zamorski, Jillian Zamorski and nine great grandchildren: Jayden Truscott, Sadie Pavlick, Aubrey Smith, Adalynn Smith, Brinley Moser, Remington Litschi, Malcolm Pavlick, Lexie Truscott, Jack Palmaro.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 10 AM in the Clover Hill Reformed Church, 890 Amwell Road, Hillsborough, NJ. Interment will follow in Neshanic Cemetery.
