Lois Ann Tack

May 15, 1932 — April 27, 2020

Lois Ann Tack of Scotch Plains, NJ and most recently Lakewood entered eternal rest after complications from the Coronavirus on April 27, 2020. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward R. Tack; loving mother of William J. Rugg, Patricia Ann Tack-Haberski, son-in-law, Victor Haberski and Robert B. Tack, daughter-in-law JoAnn Rodriguez-Tack; cherished grandmother of Christine M. Tack and Stephanie A. Tack. Lois is also survived by a host of loving relatives and friends. Lois (“Lo”) was born in 1932 and grew-up in the Vailsburg section of Newark, NJ, attended West Side High School. She was the daughter of Elsie and John Jennings. After marriage she settled in Scotch Plains, NJ, worked for Ward Ford as NJ’s first women’s car salesperson. She was an avid bridge player and spent her time teaching others at Leisure Village East, her most recent home for 25 years. She enjoyed being close to her childhood summer home in Shore Acres, NJ and her love of the Shore Acres Yacht Club. Lois was an avid NY Mets fan and watched the games daily, always optimistic about the team’s chances. She will be remembered by her family and friends as always asking about the care of others; deeply passionate about her Catholic faith and teaching her children these values. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the NJ State Nurses Association (www. njsna.org/institute-for-nursing/donations). Special thanks to the Nurses at the Ocean Medical Center Hospital, Brick NJ and especially to the Nurses on Five South. They are truly Angels.
