Lois Strouse Danberry

Lois Strouse Danberry, age 93 years, of East Amwell Township, NJ, died on Sunday, February 26, 2012, at her home.

Born in Flemington, NJ, March 18, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Dennis and Blanche Alvater Strouse. She lived most of her life in Ringoes, NJ.

She was a graduate of Flemington High School and then went on to graduate from Presbyterian Hospital, Newark, NJ, where she received her R.N. license in 1940. She later worked at the East Amwell Township Schools in the kitchen and library.

Mrs. Danberry was a member of the Amwell Valley Fire Company Auxiliary for over 50 years.

Her husband of seventy years, Charles Danberry, died in 2010. She was also pre-deceased by her brother, Fran Strouse, and her sister, Jean Cook. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan C. and Cindy Danberry, Sr. of Ringoes, NJ; and a grandson, Jonathan C. Danberry, Jr. of Ringoes, NJ.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Amwell Ridge Cemetery, Larison's Corner, NJ. Calling hours will held on Thursday from 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
