Louis Nagy

Louis Nagy, age 91 years, of Raritan Township, NJ passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022, at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, NJ. He was a long-time Hunterdon County, NJ resident.

Born in Berhida, Hungary on January 29, 1931, he was the son of the late Andrew and Maria Pap Nagy.

After surviving World War II as a teenager, he immigrated to the United States where he went to school to become a certified Mercedes-Benz mechanic. He eventually started his own business servicing the luxury brand, retiring in 1995 after decades of service. Additionally, Louis was an avid gardener in his spare time.

He was predeceased by his wife, Dusca Pesco Nagy, who died in 1999.

Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Luana Pesco Koplowitz and her husband Barry, of Raritan Township, NJ.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Mary Magdalen de Pazzi RC Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Burial, next to his late wife, will follow in Ewing Cemetery, 78 Scotch Road, Ewing Township, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations "In memory of Louis Nagy" may be made to St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, PO Box 567, Jordan NY 13080 (Checks can be made payable to “St. Patrick’s Church”) or to St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ 08822.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822.
