Louise Marie Vegh, age 96, died Friday, May 1, 2020 at her home in Raritan Township NJ, where she has lived for the past nearly 70 years.
Born February 7, 1924, in Brooklyn NY, Louise was the daughter of the late Luiggi and Anna (Pogee) Rettagliata. She was married to the late Louis Vegh, and the two moved to Raritan Township in 1951 where they raised their family. Even after Lou stopped travelling, Louise continued her adventures taking river cruises and even a trip to China and a safari to Africa.

She helped at the Flemington Community Pool for many years and continued to be recognized by so many former students and friends from her days at the school and the pool.
Louise was a long-time member of the Hunterdon Garden Guild and the Raritan Township Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was a very charitable person and gave often of her money and time to help others that were in need.
In addition to her parents, and her husband Louis Vegh in 2018, Louise was predeceased by her brother, George Rettegliata. She is survived by her son, Marc Vegh of Foster RI, her son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Kayleen Vegh of Flemington NJ, her sister, Marie Scott of Wappinger’s Falls NY, her four grandchildren, Timmreck Vegh, Erica Brooks, Linnea Vegh and Kristen Vegh, and her great grandson, Keegan Brooks.
A private burial in Prospect Hill Cemetery where she will be reunited with her husband, is under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
