Louise Martha Saunders, age 84 years, of Viera, FL, died on Monday, May 31, 2010 in Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, NJ.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, May 9, 1926, daughter of the late Charles Gardner McKnight Skinner and Anna Keebler Skinner, she had resided in Viera for the past twenty years, having formerly lived in Queens and Brooklyn, NY.
A homemaker, she was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Viera, FL as well as a former longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church, Queens Village, NY. She was a Grand Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Brooklyn, NY and was a volunteer at the Orlando Science Center and the Brevard Museum of History and Natural Science.
Her husband, Edwin P. Saunders, died in 1989.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Phillis G. Saunders and G.D. (Kip) Wright, III of Cocoa, FL; a son and daughter-in-law, Allan and Domenica Saunders of Raritan Township, NJ; and two grandchildren, Phillip and Frances Saunders, both of Raritan Township, NJ.
Graveside Services will take place Thursday at 11:30 a.m. in Lutheran Cemetery, 67-29 Metropolitan Avenue, Middle Village, Queens, NY under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
