Louise Thatcher

Louise Thatcher, age 89 years, of Clinton Township, NJ, died on Monday, July 15, 2013 in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Newark, NJ, March 11, 1924, daughter of the late Frederick and Anna Weiss Snyder, she had resided in Clinton Township since 1972, having formerly lived in Lebanon Township, NJ.

A homemaker, Louise enjoyed gardening, sewing, and was know for her knitting which won many awards. She was active in both the Flemington and Clinton Senior Groups, was a member of the Stanton Grange and was a member of the Allerton United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore L. Thatcher in 1990, a son, Theodore T. Thatcher in 1976, a brother, Frederick Snyder and a sister, Anna Adickes.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Laraine and Lee Sokloski of Bridgewater, NJ; a son and daughter-in-law, William and Marjorie Thatcher of Mechanicsburg, PA; a daughter-in-law, Edith Thatcher of High Bridge, NJ; three grandchildren, Susan, Jonathan and Katherine Thatcher; and one great granddaughter, Kimberley Thatcher.

Funeral Services will take place at Noon on Friday, July 19, 2013 in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Boss Road, Ringoes, NJ. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service in the Funeral Home.
