Lucille “Lucy” T. Bentson, age 100 years, of Pennswood Village, Langhorne, PA, died Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Pennswood.
Born in Fort Morgan, CO, March 10, 1922, daughter of the late Richard L. and Ethel M. Cochran Travis, she had formerly resided in Flemington, NJ for many years prior to moving to Pennswood in 2016.
Lucy was a homemaker and was a graduate of Tarkio College, Tarkio, MO.
Lucy was also a member of the Flemington Presbyterian Church, a volunteer for many years at Hunterdon Medical Center and was also a volunteer at the Hunterdon County Office On Aging where she taught creative writing and history classes for seniors.
Her husband, Thomas G. Bentson, died in 1983.
Surviving are two daughters, Kristin Anne Shovlin of Doylestown, PA and Dania Kay Schreiber of Flemington, NJ; two sons, Richard S. Bentson of Orefield, PA and Thomas G. Bentson of Burke, VA; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at 11:00 AM in the Flemington Presbyterian Church, Main Street, Flemington, NJ followed by interment in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
