Lucy D. Catenaro, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, went to her Savior Jesus on January 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 29, 1941, in Hoboken, NJ, Lucy was a vibrant spirit whose dynamic personality and quick wit brought joy to everyone around her.
Lucy graduated from Union High School in the Class of 1959 and further pursued her passion for beauty by becoming a licensed beautician, graduating from the Wilford Beauty School. She retired after a long and fulfilling career as a hairstylist, doing what she loved and bringing joy to countless clients, including friends and family.
Beyond her professional life, Lucy was known for her love of family and the special moments spent creating memories with her grandchildren. She thoroughly enjoyed trips to Jenkinson's Pavilion in Point Pleasant, NJ, where countless joyful outings were shared. Lucy had a fondness for dancing in her youth and cherished watching American Bandstand with her sister-in-law, Patricia Catenaro.
Her family will remember her not only for the laughter she brought into their lives but also for the deep, caring relationships she forged with each of them. Lucy is survived by her daughters, Maria Catenaro of Flemington, NJ; Theresa Catenaro of Bridgewater, NJ; and Diane Parker of Raritan, NJ; her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Cassie Catenaro of Edison, NJ; and her grandchildren: Michelle Lacamera; David (Alexa) Lacamera; Scott Parker; Casey Parker; Ryan Parker; Thomas Catenaro Jr.; and Lyla Catenaro. Additionally, she leaves behind her adored five great-grandchildren, Elliot, Lucas, and Thomas Parker, Adah and Annalina Lacamera, and her special sister-in-law, Patricia Catenaro.
Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Rose (Delsano) Catenaro; her sister, Mary Gibson; and her brother, Anthony Catenaro.
A Celebration of Life and Eulogy service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ 08822. Calling hours will be on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
