Luz Maria Gutierrez

Luz Maria Gutierrez, age 97 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Thursday, July 16, 2015 in Foothill Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Hillsborough, NJ.

Born in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, March 29, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Francisco and Luz Gomez. She had formerly resided in El Paso, TX.

She was a homemaker.

She was predeceased by her husband, Martin Gutierrez, and a daughter, Hilda Woods. Surviving are a son, Jose Gutierrez, of El Paso, TX; three daughters, Estela Meise of Flemington, NJ, Graciela Abraham of Somerset, NJ, and Patricia Homberg of Flemington, NJ; a sister, Cristina Hernandez of Mexico; eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 9:00 AM in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Magdalen Cemetery.
