M. Jane Brown

M. Jane Nevius Brown, age 76 years, of Neshanic Station, NJ, died Thursday, September 16, 2021, at the home of her daughter, Carol Piasecki, in Hillsborough Township, NJ. Born in Somerville, January 22, 1945, daughter of the late Simon and Martha Whitlock Nevius, Jane had resided in Neshanic Station all her life. A 1963 graduate of Somerville High School, Jane was a school bus driver for the Branchburg Township School System for thirty-two years. Known affectionately to her family as “Grammy”, “Momma Brown”, “Momma Jane”, “Ma Brown” and “My Brown”, Jane devoted her life to others and “her grandchildren were her life”. She loved the holidays, especially Halloween, loved driving her bus route and taking “her kids” to school for thirty-two years and was always aware of the happenings in Neshanic Station. Jane was also an avid baker and sewer who loved dancing. Jane lived her life the way she wanted; “she did it her way”! Her husband, William L. Brown, died in 1979. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Michael Piasecki of Hillsborough Township, NJ, Cathy Brown and Damien Chromowsky of Hillsborough Township, NJ; one son, Chris Brown of Myrtle Beach, SC; and three grandchildren, Kira Piasecki, Christopher Brown, and Billy Chromowsky. Also surviving are nieces and nephews and loving neighbors and friends. Calling hours will be Thursday, September 23, 2021, 4:00PM-7:00PM, at the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Burial will be private in Neshanic Cemetery.
