Mabel S. Bjornstad

Mabel S. Bjornstad, age 97 years, of Clinton Township, NJ died on Monday, April 5, 2004 at her residence.

Born in Chicago, IL, December 23, 1906 to the late Ole and Olga Nelson Fjeldheim, she had resided in Clinton Township for the past 18 years, previously residing in Chicago, IL.

Raised in Norway, Mrs. Bjornstad returned to the United States at the age of 21 and was a self-employed hairdresser in Chicago, IL. She was also a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Flemington, NJ.

Mrs. Bjornstad's husband, Harold W., died in 1982. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Ann L. and Richard P. Brandt of Clinton Township, NJ; a grandson, Steven R. and wife Nancy of Lansdowne, PA; a granddaughter Jeanne B. Burris and husband Jimm of Clinton Township, NJ; and two great-grandchildren, Juliette and Noah Brandt of Lansdowne, PA.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from noon till 2 p.m.
