Mabel Violet Dani Denton

Mabel Violet Dani Denton age 94 years, of Ringoes, NJ, died on Sunday, May 25, 2014, at her home.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, July 29, 1919, daughter of the late Stephen and Lillian Bloch Dani, she had resided most of her life in Ringoes, NJ.

A retired teacher, she formerly taught in the Holland Township School in Holland Township, NJ, then was a first grade teacher in East Amwell Township School System until retiring.

Mabel was a longtime member of the Calvary Church of Amwell; a 1937 graduate of Flemington High School and was a graduate of Trenton State College. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Amwell Valley Fire Company, Ringoes, NJ.

Her husband of seventy-two years, Jesse James Denton, Jr., died on February 11th of this year.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Jesse James Denton III and his wife, Dee, of Egg Harbor Township, NJ; and a sister-in-law, Doris Zimmer, of Old Tappan, NJ.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 2:00 PM, in the Calvary Church of Amwell (OPC), 24 US Highway 202, Ringoes, NJ. Interment will be private in Amwell Ridge Cemetery, Larison's Corner, NJ. Calling hours in the Church will be Saturday 1:00 - 2:00 PM
