Mabelle Nief

Mabelle Nief, age 82 years, formerly of Flemington, NJ, died on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, in the Valley View Care Center, Alexandria Township, NJ.

Born in Pittstown, NJ, October 15, 1930, daughter of the late Ludwig and Ottilia Brefeld Roerig, she had resided in Hunterdon County all her life.

Mabelle was a school bus driver for Hunterdon Central High School, Flemington, NJ, for thirty-five years.

Her husband, Edward Nief, died in 1984, and her brother, Ludwig Roerig, died in 2013.

Among her survivors are two daughters, Maybelle Nief of Pittstown, NJ, and Lorrie Summerson of South Williamsport, PA; a son, Edward Nief III of Allouez, MI; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements will be announced under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
