Mae L. Vogt

Mae L. Vogt, age 93 years, of Holland Township, NJ, died on Saturday, February 4, 2006, at her residence.

Born in Stanton, NJ, March 25, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Carrie Schlapfer LaRue. She had formerly resided in Frenchtown, NJ.

She retired from the Frenchtown Porcelein Company, Frenchtown, NJ.

She enjoyed sewing, reading the Bible, growing roses, gardening, bird watching, cooking, and listening to hymns.

She was a member of the Frenchtown Baptist Church and the Baptistown Baptist Church.

She cared for blind twins, Linda and Karen Lewis of Frenchtown, NJ.

Her husband, Chester D. Vogt, died in 1972. A Grandson, Richard Vogt, Jr., also pre-deceased her. She is survived by two sons, Richard Vogt of Holland Township, NJ, and Chester Vogt, Jr., of Palmerton, PA; nine grandchildren; Terri Sautner, Thomas Vogt, James Vogt, Lois Singleton, Deborah Vogt, Diane Gootee, Melanie Vogt, Cynthia Vogt, and Alison Vogt; sixteen great-grandchildren; Christopher, Alexia, Heather, Jason, Christina, Thomas, Eric, Ricky, Marc, Randy, Ronald, Bryan, Essa-Bella, Amber Lee, Dean, and Desiree; and seven great-great-grandchildren; Morgan, Austin, Colon, Casey, Cameron, Drew, and Samara.

Private Graveside Services in Frenchtown Cemetery, Frenchtown, NJ, will be held under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
