Marcel W. Wagner

Marcel W. Wagner, age 93 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at his residence. Born in New York City, NY, June 24, 1921, he was the son of the late William F. and Anastasia Shustykewicz Wagner. He had resided in Raritan Township since 1986, and had formerly resided in Martinsville, NJ. He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II, serving with the Sino-American forces in China and the Pacific. He was a former owner of Wagner's Market, Martinsville, NJ, and had retired from the United States Post Office as Postmaster of the Martinsville Post Office for twenty years. He was a communicant of St. Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ, and a former choir member there; a former member of the Martinsville Fire Company for fifteen years; former member of the Martinsville Rescue Squad; and for twenty years was a member of the Diocese of Metuchen Festival Choir. Surviving are his wife of seventy years, Katherine Klapko Wagner; two daughters, Stephanie Kubisch of Martinsville, NJ and Maria Wagner of Sicklerville, NJ; two sons, Marcel Wagner, Jr. of Quincy, IL and Gregory M. Wagner of Flemington, NJ; two sisters, Maryann Lotowycz of Lakewood, NJ and Elaine Clark of Pownal, VT; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 9:30 AM in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Entombment will be in St. Magdalen Mausoleum.
