Margaret A. Boelhouwer

Margaret A. Martensen Boelhouwer, age 95 years, of the Three Bridges section of Readington Township, NJ, died on Sunday, April 10, 2005 at Rolling Hills Care Center, Clinton Township, NJ.

Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, January 19, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Anna Martensen, both from Denmark. She was raised and educated in Fords, NJ.

She moved to Three Bridges, NJ in 1948, when her husband, the Reverend Peter Boelhouwer, began his ministry at the Three Bridges Reformed Church. "Mrs. B." was a fifty-seven year member of the Three Bridges Reformed Church, and faithfully assisted in the Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Women's Organizations, and the Junior and Senior Choirs. She was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Darcy Chapter, Flemington, NJ; the Circle of 8 Choral Group, and the Readington Township Senior Citizens Club. She attended Briteside, Flemington, NJ for the past several years. Her other pastimes included crocheting, gardening, flower arranging, and baking.

She was predeceased by her husband, the Reverend Peter Boelhouwer, in 1991, and a brother, Raymond Martensen, in 2002.

Surviving are a daughter, Priscilla A. Stothoff, of Raritan Township, NJ; a son, David P. Boelhouwer, of Raritan Township, NJ; a brother, Harold Martensen, of Edison, NJ; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:30 PM in the Three Bridges Reformed Church, Three Bridges, NJ. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 7-9 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
