Margaret A. Van Lieu

Margaret A. Van Lieu, age 94 years, of Jonestown, PA, passed away Friday, May 29, 2015, at the Lebanon Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of the late Oscar Van Lieu, who died in 2002. Born in Reaville, NJ, February 24, 1921, daughter of the late Theodore and Mabel Quick Kaim, she and her husband owned and operated dairy farms in NJ and PA. Margaret was a member of the Jonestown Bible Church. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, scrapbooking, playing scrabble and reading. She is survived by her children, Richard E. (Carol) Van Lieu of Grant, NE, Thomas J. (Brenda) Van Lieu of Fredericksburg, PA., Jean (Gus) Leichte of Swannanoa, NC., Nancy (Robert) Cramer of Rosemont, NJ, Irene (Frederick) Kuhl of Ringoes, NJ, Katherine A. (Mitchel) Smith of Chambersburg, PA, and Pamela M. (Steven) Bordner of Millersburg, PA; a sister, Freda Q. Van Lieu of Flemington, NJ; eighteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Thelma Van Lieu and a brother, Walter Kaim. Funeral services will be held Tuesday Evening at 8:00 PM at Kramer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Route 72 & Camp Meeting Road, Jonestown, PA. Calling hours will be Wednesday, June 3, 2015, 11:00 AM - 12 Noon at Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church, 37 John Ringo Road, Ringoes, NJ. Interment will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Reaville, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
