Margaret C. "Peggy" Wilbor

November 2, 1939 — March 26, 2022

Margaret C. (Peggy) Wilbor, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, 82 years, of Sarasota, FL and Flemington, NJ, passed peacefully on Saturday, March 26, 2022, in the comfort of her home surrounded and enfolded by the love of her family. Peggy was born in York, PA on November 2, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Dr. Archibald Campbell and Roberta Wood Campbell Eyster and grew up in York. She later resided in Scotch Plains and Westfield, NJ, moving to the Flemington area in 1974. Peggy was a proud graduate of the Duke University School of Nursing, earning her BSRN in 1961. Upon graduation, she worked as a registered nurse until starting her family. After selfless dedication to the upbringing of her daughters, she went on to further her vocation through her work as a home health and public health nurse, advocating for and providing critical health services, education, and skills to her community. Later, she was a 20-year Director of the Briteside Adult Day Care Center, in Flemington, and helped open their second location in Lebanon, NJ. Peggy was a devoted, adoring wife; a gifted, loving mother; an engaged, proud grandmother, and a deeply loyal friend. Peggy led life by example with her positivity, generosity, and wit. She played golf, was a talented gardener, a great cook, a world traveler, and a passionate fan of Duke Basketball–as well as any activity or interest her children and grandchildren pursued. Peggy lived a life driven by service to others, including but not limited to: her family, her friends, her patients, her church, her community, and pretty much everyone she met. She had a talent for sharing her love and making everyone feel special. She was a member, Deacon and Elder of the Flemington Presbyterian Church where she also served as a Stephen Minister. In addition, she was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, served on the Medication Review Board at the Hunterdon Developmental Center, and was a volunteer therapist at the Child Development Center of Hunterdon Medical Center. Peggy was a member at Copper Hill Country Club in Ringoes, NJ, as well as Heritage Oaks Country Club in Sarasota, FL. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Jeffrey Hale Wilbor, in 1966 and her brother, C. Gerald Campbell, in 2017. Surviving are her husband and soulmate of sixty years, Garry O. Wilbor; cherished three daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and James Joseph of Orefield, PA, Elizabeth and Ronald Garry of Natick, MA and Joanna and Frank Lentine of Flemington, NJ; and her adored eight grandchildren: James, Megan, Taylor, Kate, Elizabeth, Tory, Frankie and Emma. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 11:00 AM in the Flemington Presbyterian Church, 10 East Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
