Margaret E. Seiger, age 70, died Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Brandywine Assisted Living in Bridgewater Township, NJ.
Born, May 6, 1944 in Paterson, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Kathyrn (Jones) Mergenthaler. Margaret received her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Caldwell College in Caldwell, NJ. She lived in Clinton for many years before moving to Flemington in 2001, where she was a faithful parishioner of St. Magdalen Church in Flemington. Margaret retired from Affinity Credit Union, where she worked for several years.
Margaret loved dogs, and will be especially missed by her two Yorkshire Terriers, Isabelle and Tristan.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her husband of 30 years, Robert Seiger, in 2000. She is survived by her son, Matthew Seiger of Middlesex, NJ, and her brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Joyce Mergenthaler of Lake Hopatcong, NJ.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 19, 2014 at St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Entombment will follow in St. Magdalen Mausoleum. Viewing will be Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822.
