Margaret Elizabeth McDermott, age 95 years, formerly of the Castleton Corners section of Staten Island, NY, died on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 in the Rolling Hills Care Center, Clinton Township, NJ. Born on Staten Island, NY, January 21, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Ulysses and Margaret Scott Marck. She was a homemaker and a former communicant of St. Teresa’s Church, Staten Island, NY. Her husband, James McDermott, a NYC Police Lieutenant died in 1999. Surviving is her cousin and caretaker, Margaret Venditti of Flemington, NJ in addition to many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and Godchildren in whose lives she played a vital role. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 4, 2015 at 11 AM in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
