Margaret M. Mooney

Margaret M. Mooney, age 87 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Saturday, May 16, 2009, in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Prince Edward Island, Canada, August 22, 1921, she was the daughter of the late John and Annie Kenny Mooney. She had previously resided in Caldwell, NJ.

She was a school nurse in Westchester County, NY for over twenty-five years, and received her B.S. in Public Health from Columbia University. During World War II, she cared for wounded veterans in Atlantic City Military Hospital.

She was pre-deceased by three brothers: James, Wilfrid, and Kenny Mooney, and two sisters: Kathleen Reid and Marie Mooney. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A Mass Of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 AM in St. Aloysius Church, Caldwell, NJ. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Whippany, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 7-9 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
