Margaret Mary O'Donnell

Margaret Mary O'Donnell (nee Bailey), age 95 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2011 in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ after being cared for by the loving staff of the Spruce Sub-Acute Unit there.

Born in Newark, NJ, September 23, 1916, daughter of the late Thomas F. and Catherine A. Urmston Bailey, she had resided in Raritan Township for the past thirteen years, having formerly lived in Bloomfield, Glen Ridge and Chatham, NJ.

A graduate of St. James High School, Newark, NJ, Margaret was employed for many years until her retirement at Westinghouse, Bloomfield, NJ.

She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Patricia Anne Baisch; her son-in-law, Eugene Baisch; and her brother, Thomas F. Bailey, Jr.

Surviving are her loving daughter Margaret (Peggy) Kennedy of Raritan Township, NJ; her dearest sister, Alice Bailey of Raritan Township, NJ; her sister, Gertrude Cummings in FL; six grandchildren, Colleen Huber and her husband Chris, John J. Kennedy II, Laura J. Baisch and her husband, Matthew Fassnacht; Kevin P. Kennedy, Robert E. Baisch and his wife Martha and Kathryn J. Kennedy; eleven great grandchildren; her nephews, James Cummings and Thomas Bailey; and a niece, Catherine Rossi.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 70 Broad Street, Bloomfield, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 23 Cottage Place, Bloomfield, NJ. Calling hours will be Monday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
