Margaret Y. Snear

Margaret Y. Snear, age 105 years, of Flemington, NJ, died Sunday, January 28, 2018, at Bridgeway Care and Senior Living at Hillsborough, NJ.

Born in Chester, PA, November 8, 1912, daughter of the late Albert Hatch Yarnall and Helen Booth Yarnall, she had resided in Media, PA most of her life.

A registered nurse, Margaret was employed by Carl Gamba, MD, in Media, PA until retiring.

She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Media and its’ Women’s Group and was a volunteer for Meals On Wheels and the American Red Cross. Margaret also loved to garden and walk in Media.

Her husband, S. Clayton Snear, Sr., died in 1991 and she was also pre-deceased by her three sisters, Helen Gerlach, Jean LaLonde and Eleanor Wells.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Joanne S. and Raymond Martin of Flemington; a son and daughter-in-law, S. Clayton and Patricia Snear, Jr. of Spring, TX; six grandchildren, Jeffrey, Gregory, Kenneth and Raymond Martin III, and Tyler and Paige Snear; and eleven great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Christ Episcopal Church 311 S. Orange Street, Media, PA. Interment will be in Media Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There are no calling hours.
